Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Nova mobile app and any related services we operate (collectively "Nova"). Nova is operated by Shashank Tiwari, Delhi, India. By installing or using Nova you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Nova.
1. Eligibility
Nova is for users 18 years of age or older. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18. Adult-mode content is additionally gated and entirely opt-in. We may verify your age at any time and terminate accounts that misrepresent it.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Sign-in is via Google or email + password. Notify us at support@nova.app if you suspect unauthorised access. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account; your chat history and profile will be purged within 30 days of the request.
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use Nova to:
- generate or solicit content involving minors in any sexual or violent context;
- generate content that promotes self-harm, terrorism, or real-world violence;
- impersonate real people, public figures, or other Nova users;
- extract personal data about anyone, including other users;
- circumvent message quotas, ad-watch rewards, or subscription billing;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or programmatically access the Nova backend in ways the app itself doesn't support;
- upload malware, run automated scripts against the API, or otherwise abuse the service.
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or deletion at our sole discretion.
4. AI-generated content
Every character in Nova is fictional. Responses are generated by a large language model (currently Google Gemini) and do not represent the views of any real person, organisation, or the developer of Nova. AI responses can be inaccurate, biased, or inappropriate; treat them as entertainment, not as professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise). You are responsible for how you interpret and act on anything the AI says.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Free plan — 50 messages per day plus up to 10 bonus messages per reward ad viewed. Resets daily at your local midnight.
- Premium Basic — ₹99 per week. 100 messages per day plus 10 bonus messages per reward ad.
- Premium Unlimited — ₹500 per week. No daily message cap.
- All subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing and managed by RevenueCat. Billing, cancellation, and refunds are governed by Google Play's terms — manage your subscription in the Google Play Store app.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 14 days' notice; existing subscriptions will continue at the previous price until they renew.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play per its policies. We do not process refunds directly.
6. Ads
The free plan includes optional reward ads served by Google AdMob. You may choose to watch an ad in exchange for bonus messages. We do not force ads on users. Premium tiers see no reward-ad prompts.
7. Intellectual property
Nova, including its name, logo, character roster, character prompts, backstories, and UI design, is owned by us. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit these materials without written permission. The AI-generated responses you receive are yours to use personally; sharing them publicly is fine as long as you don't claim they were authored by a real person.
8. Your content
Anything you type into Nova (chat messages, profile details) remains yours. By sending it through the app you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and forward it to the AI provider strictly to operate the service. We do not sell your messages. We do not use your messages to train AI models.
9. Termination
You may stop using Nova and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, or for legal compliance. On termination, sections 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13 survive.
10. Disclaimers
Nova is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of Nova. Our total aggregate liability for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) ₹1,000.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising under them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms as Nova evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
