Delete your Nova account

You can ask us to permanently delete your Nova account and the data associated with it. This page exists so you can request deletion even if you've uninstalled the app.
Option A — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open Nova on your Android device.
- Tap the profile icon (top-right of the Home screen).
- Go to Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is marked for deletion immediately and the full data purge completes within 30 days.
Option B — Request deletion by email
If you've already uninstalled Nova, email us from the email address associated with your account:
Subject: Account deletion request
Include in the body: the email address you signed in with (the
Gmail address you used for Google Sign-In). We will verify and
delete the account within 30 days of receiving
the request.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (display name, avatar, date of birth, content-mode preference).
- All chat history with every character on your account.
- Any uploaded avatar or profile imagery.
- Notification preferences and device push tokens.
- Cached entitlement records (RevenueCat purchaser ID linked to your account).
What we keep, and why
- Subscription transaction records are retained for up to seven years to satisfy Indian tax / consumer-protection requirements. These are billing entries (date, amount, plan), not personal content.
- Anonymised crash reports and aggregate analytics may be retained — they contain no personal identifiers after the account is removed.
Timeline
- Immediately on request: your account is deactivated and you can no longer sign in.
- Within 30 days: chat history, profile data, and cached entitlements are permanently purged from our database and backups.
- Up to 90 days: residual log entries containing your user ID are removed from system logs.
